A quiet Chiang Mai residential lane at dusk

About

A quieter way to see Chiang Mai

Helping travellers discover authentic Chiang Mai while supporting local businesses.

We started this because the best days we had in Chiang Mai were never the ones on the itinerary — they were a family noodle shop, a workshop above a hardware store, a village road that kept climbing into the cloud.

Everything here is written by people who live in or return to the city, checked in person and updated when things change. There is no booking engine and nothing to buy: we send you straight to the official source, or to the door of the business itself.

Curation over volume

We would rather recommend six places properly than list six hundred without context.

Local first

Every recommendation points to an independent business — no commissions, no paid placement.

Travel gently

Quiet hours, respectful photography and small courtesies keep these places worth visiting.

Get in touch

Corrections, closures or a place you think we should know about — we read everything.
